About EBR Database Online

Data in the EBR Database Online are organized by State, Phoenix-Mesa Metropolitan Area, Tucson Metropolitan Area and Counties with the exception of Pima County which is shown in the tables for the Tucson Metropolitan Area.
For each geographical region, data are presented in five major groups:
- General indicators of growth for Arizona (such as population and labor force).
- Employment by industry sectors arranged in accordance with the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) developed by the Office of Management and Budget, Washington, D.C.
- Retail sales by NAICS category as provided by data reporting agency and as relevant to the region.
- Real estate activities such as building permits and multiple listing services.
- Data unique to each geographical region (Arizona, MSAs and Counties). These data include foreclosures, bankruptcies, international border crossings, trade data and GDP data among others. Travel and tourism is included in this category. Travel and Tourism data are grouped into two distinct seasons for economic activity in the tourism “industry” – summer, in the northern part of the state, and winter in the southern areas.
