About the Arizona State Data Center Program

The State Date Center (SDC) program was established to improve the accessibility of statistical information and products from theCensus Bureau to the citizens of our state. The program consists of a network of state agencies, universities, libraries, regional and local governments which have expertise working with census information and have formed a cooperative network to more effectively respond to data requests on population and demography. EBR has been a part of the Arizona State Data Center program since its inception in 1978 and EBR Library staff are available to help you access data from Census Bureau, as well as, Bureau of Economic Analysis, and other federal and state agencies.
The Population Statistics Unit of the Arizona Department of Commerce (ADOC) is the lead agency for the Program. Other coordinating agencies are The University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the Department of Library, Archives and Public Records.
The Arizona State Data Center Program also conducts workshops and presentations on census data and products. ADOC publishes a newsletter designed to provide timely information to data users about census products and activities related to Arizona, plus current estimates and projections prepared by ADOCPopulation Statistics Unit staff.
